Twick or Tweet

Thea's first halloween was action packed. In the morning we visited her daycare for her Halloween parade. The evening's trick or treating took place at the Jone's homestead. Thea got to play with Campbell as well as her friends from the block.

New Pajamas

Thea tried on her big kid pajamas the other night...pretty funny.

Breakfast with Grandma

Grandma Young came up this last weekend to watch Thea so that we could continue the painting saga. Thea had lots of fun with Grandma taking her on walks and having breakfast together.

Freestate Sunday

After the weekend's festivities were over we headed to Lawrence. KU was now 7-0, the Chiefs were victorious, and Uncle Matt became more familiar with the inside of a Pontiac Grand Am's trunk. We celebrated the weekend of victory with dinner at Free State. Thea enjoyed screaming and hamming it up for the masses.

Wedding weekend

Our friends Dennis and Jennifer Dolan got married this weekend. Matt and Tabitha came in from Chicago and we also got to catch up with many old friends. We had a great weekend and Thea got plenty of face time with Grandma and Grandpa Melvin.

May the force be with you

We received Thea's Halloween costume in the mail the other day. She's not sold on the Yoda ears and hat but we'll figure that out later. Only wish we could locate a light saber for babies....yeah I'm thinking they probably don't make those.

The Drunken Sailor

Just a quick update on Thea's new activity....walking. She started taking a few steps at a time about a month ago and then this weekend she just took off. She is cruising all across the living room and kitchen on her own without holding on. She is, of course, still a little wobbly, hence the druken sailor comment. We are still not sure why this child is in such a hurry to grow up! We are pretty proud, and it is really cute. We'll try to get some vids on youtube. Hope everyone is well.

The Patagonia Kid

Dika has already taken a liking to overpriced mountainwear. Thea sure likes her new Patagonia vest that Mom bought her.

A tooth!

Finally....after 5 months of waiting, Thea's first tooth made it's way out today. She, of course, will not let us look at it or get anywhere near her mouth, so a picture might be challenging. Marc wants to know if she can start eating steak sandwiches now.

Cubs win! Cubs win!

The Royals haven't sniffed the postseason since we were in junior high. Because of KC's futilty on the diamond, Thea is now rooting for her favorite National league team. I'm not going to tell her about the goat or Bartman, it will only bring her down.
