The second act of Thea's Christmas holiday took part at the homestead. Grandma and Grandpa Melvin, along with the Rube, arrived on Monday to help Thea get ready for Santa's arrival. Santa was very good to Thea but it seems like everything else she was more interested in the trash. Note to Self: Next year give Thea boxes, loose paper, and styrofoam as gifts.

Merry Kwistmas, Part I
Thea had an action packed holiday. On Saturday, Grandma and Grandpa Young and Great Grandma and Grandpa Fahring came up for the holiday weekend. We all went over to Uncle Jeffy and Aunt Beth's to celebrate and be merry. Although Thea was sldelined by an ear infection, it didn't seem to diminish her appetite or cut into her playtime with her cousin Carter.

Santa Claus is a rip off
We decided to take Thea to see Santa this year for some pictures. Mostly, we are sadistic and thought that she would cry and it would make for a funny Christmas card. So, our first trip was to Crown Center after Campbell's birthday. Two words - pure torture. Littered amongst the holiday decorations were out of town derps, pedophiles, and lots of those beaten down dads that push the stroller wearing a santa hat sipping on a gingerbread latte. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. Tonight we put Thea in her Christmas outfit and headed out to Town Center. There was no line, the santa wasn't a creep....it looked like it would be easy. Thea's reaction wasn't what we had hoped (we are sick). She was pretty stoic, no crying at all. She did look really cute in her outfit. Needless to say, we walked out of there with 2 crappy pictures spending over $50. Marc almost got into a fight with the rude Johnson County snotty teenagers working there. And they put our last name as "Felvin" on the picture. I think it was on purpose. What ever happened to a good ol free visit to Santa's lap at the mall? Lord. I'd post a picture, but then you wouldn't be surprised when you get our Christmas Card. I gotta get something out of this for 50 bucks. : )

Birthday
Dika one year!!!
It doesn't seem like it's been a year. However, Dika is now officially one year old. She was elated to have all of her friends and family join in the celebration of her birthday. Both Grandma and Grandpa Young and Grandma and Grandpa Melvin were on hand for the festivities. Her cousin Carter, her friends Campbell and Connor were also on hand. Even Officer Collins showed up wearing kevlar.
