More Birthday pics

Deeks is Two

We can't believe Thea's two already. She's pretty funny with her new haircut and how much she's talking these days. Our little Deeks is really growing up fast eh? Anyhow, both of the Granparents and Great Grandma and Grandpa Fahring as well as Jeff, Beth, Carter, and Will shared in the birthday celebration.

Early Christmas

Because Grandma and Grandpa Fahring were going to be in Atlanta over Christmas to see Uncle Alan and Aunt Diane, we had Ivy's family Christmas at Uncle Jeff and Aunt Beth's this last weekend. Thea and cousin Carter had a lot of fun and wore themselves out. This helped Deeks get well rested for her big day on Sunday.

Thea gets her hair did

In preparation for her second birthday, we decided it was finally time for Deeks to get a haircut. I don't remember being a kid getting a haircut while watching cartoons and sucking on a lollipop.

Superpowers Summit

On the way back from Salina we stopped off in Lawrence at our friends Reid and Michelle Walter's to finally meet their son Hank who had just turned one the day before. It was good to see both Reid and Michelle and for the two superpowers to finally meet.

Baby Will

Little Will seems to be happy no matter the occasion.

Thea's new baby

Thea decided that Lulu was going to be her new baby and that she needed covered up to go night night.

Cousins

Thea and Carter spent most of Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa Young's watching cartoons or raising the decibel level ten fold. They even took some time out to hug.

Emo Deeks

Thea rocked her latest outfit this last weekend. Her emo ensemble consisted of a Hurley jacket, skinny jeans, and skull and crossbone pink Vans. I think if we were to put mascara on her our neighbors might call child services.

Playing with the Rube

Thea enjoyed playing in the backyard with Grandpa Melvin and the Rube. She was particuarly fond of the pile of leaves that Dad has yet to rake up. He's very surprised the mean lady who lives behind us hasn't commented on it yet. Perhaps that might be one reason the leaves have yet to be raked up. SCOREBOARD: MELVINS!!!

Since Zoe posted a funny blast from the past picture of the kids, we've added one as well. Hilarious. As Campbell is trying to pull his hair and Thea is looking for more trouble, I believe what Connor is trying to say with his eyes is, HELP ME!

An evening with Campbell and Thea

Kerri and Stephen Jones came over Saturday night with Campbell to have some dinner and let the girls get reacquainted. It's been a while since Thea's seen Campbell but it didn't take long for them to begin their reign of destruction over the living room.

Ween

Deeks went trick or treating at school earlier in the day. After getting the hang of things and getting acclimated with her Little Mermaid costume, Grandma and Grandpa Young came up to assist in the evening trick or treating. Thea met up with her neighbor friend Ellie who went as a skunk. Ellie's dog Ruby also went as a skunk. Side note: For those of you who've seen "Strange Brew" Ruby looked exactly like Bob and Doug McKenzies' dog Hosehead...sans the jelly donuts.

Shopping list

Deeks got some shopping done at Grandma and Grandpa Melvin's house last weekend.

Rube

Rube don't know. Rube's weird.

Deeks Von Beethoven

Thea and cousin Carter decided they would put on a recital for everyone over the weekend.

Caged Animal

Thea never misses an opportunity to climb into Bridgett's kennel when visiting Grandma and Grandpa Young.
